The Inquiry has published an update on hearings, amid new government guidance on Covid-19.

The Government announced last night a series of measures in response to the rising number of cases of the Omicron variant of Covid-19. One of those measures is that, from Monday 13th December, those who can are advised to work from home.

The majority of legal representatives have been participating in the Inquiry remotely. We ask you to continue to do so, only attending by exception where it is absolutely necessary.

With the option of following proceedings by the live stream, the number of BSRs and the public in 13 Bishop’s Bridge Road has been relatively low and stable. With only four days of hearings remaining before the Christmas break, we do not see the need to reintroduce, at this point, a ticketing system for a limited number of BSRs. The Inquiry premises will therefore remain open to the public next week and we will assess the situation again before hearings resume on 24th January.

We ask all those attending 13 Bishop’s Bridge Road to wear a mask when moving around the building and to test themselves frequently.
