The Inquiry has instructed Professor Anna A. Stec, University of Central Lancashire, as an expert witness.
Professor Stec will undertake an investigation and provide a report of her findings: to determine the fire derived toxicants and related deposits present in the Tower and their origins, in terms of construction products, furniture and furnishings etc; and where combustible building products were present on the tower exterior (including ACM and insulation) and window surrounds, to determine the extent (if any) to which their combustion products penetrated and left identifiable deposits inside the Tower, in individual flats, lobbies and the stair.
